Notepad is a simple offline notepad application designed for creating, editing, organizing, and securing personal notes directly on your device.

We do NOT collect any personal information such as:

Contacts
Photos
Passwords
Banking information
Our app does not require account creation or user registration.
3. How the App Works
The app allows users to:
Create notes with titles and content
Select note colors
Edit or delete notes
Search saved notes
Enable Light/Dark theme
Lock notes inside a Secret Folder using a 4-digit PIN
Recover deleted notes from Trash within 15 days
4. Local Storage & Offline Usage
All notes and app data are stored locally on the user’s own device using internal device storage.
Your notes are saved in JSON format through local storage methods such as SharedPreferences.
Important:
Your data never leaves your device
No cloud backup is used by the app
No external server stores your notes
We cannot access your notes
The app works completely offline and does not require an internet connection for normal use.
5. Secret Folder & PIN Security
The app includes a Secret Folder feature protected by a 4-digit PIN.
Users can lock private notes inside this folder for extra security.
If the PIN is forgotten:
The app provides a “Forgot PIN” option
For security reasons, locked notes may be permanently deleted during PIN reset
Users are responsible for remembering their PIN.
6. Trash System
Deleted notes are not removed immediately.
Instead:
Notes move to the Trash folder
Trash items remain for up to 15 days
Users can restore notes during this period
Users may also permanently delete notes manually
After the retention period, notes may be automatically removed from the device.
7. Third-Party Services
This app does not share any user data with third parties.
If advertisements or external services are added in future updates, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.
8. Children's Privacy
Our app does not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13.
Since no personal information is collected, the app is generally safe for all age groups.
9. Data Security
We use local device storage to help protect user data.
However, users are responsible for:
Keeping their device secure
Protecting their Secret Folder PIN
Managing backups of their own data if needed

Users have full control over their data.
Users can:
Create notes
Edit notes
Delete notes
Restore notes from Trash
Permanently erase notes
Reset Secret Folder PIN
